Never Give Up (Feat. Canto Acrylic & Tall Pine)

about

After CRANKING through Project Horizons last september I decided to write a song about Blackjack and Littlepip. I have always been a fan of the first Fallout Equestria and it was time I did it some justice. Highly recommend them both if you can stomach the mature themes, of which this song contains none of!

You may have seen us perform this back at Ciderfest or Ponyfest Online, but it had a bit of cleaning up needed before I was confident enough to release on YouTube.

Thanks to Canto for being the Littlepip of the duet, can always count on him for vocals. And big thanks to Andy/Tall Pine for writing banjo and mandolin parts to give the song an extra country vibe that I was looking for.

lyrics

Verse 1 -
I walk up and down this nuclear road
And to the friends I now have found my life I owe
I've been searching for an answer for miles
If it takes forever I really don't mind

I care to make the world do better
and make those around me proud

Chorus - ohhhhh I will reclaim this land
Ohhhh.. and I’m Glad to call you friends
and i know
I may die I may lose my sight but I know I can't give up the fight

Verse 2
The radio calls me a hero
But what they see in me I really don’t know
I don’t always feel like I know the right path
I’ll push forward farther with each spell I cast

I bow to make the world do better, and make those around me proud

Crossing the bar of those in my way. Wishing the endless night cycled to day
allowing the fallen to be laid to rest. Revealing secrets and lock picking chests.
I’m starting to wonder just what it’s all worth
I’m trying my hardest to fight for rebirth
I know that I stand with friends by my side and hold on to the strength they give me inside
